- The Thunder Crystal turns MOUSE into SQUEAK.
- The Water Crystal turns SUNDRY into SUN.
- The Ice Crystal turns LAVA into OBSIDIAN.
- The Shadow Crystal turns PINK into RED.
- The Fire Crystal turns CAT into COAT.
- The Wind Crystal turns N into Z.
The highlighted letters spell the answer,
QUARTZ (and in
Super Mario RPG, if you do manage to best Culex, he awards you with the Quartz Charm).
