Quote and all his "little friends" are characters known for using guns. Guns with names. Besides Quote, the characters are listed in alphabetical order by gun name:
- In Cave Story, Quote's first gun is the Polar Star.
- Samus Aran has always shot things with her arm cannon.
- The Doom guy's most famous gun is the BFG.
- Chewbacca's gun/crossbow thing is called a "bowcaster."
- Ebenezabeth Scrooge uses a Colt Paterson. Remember???
- Agent 47 from the Hitman series uses the Hardballer, among other things, but, work with me here
- Megatron is a gun sometimes so "his gun's name" is Megatron.
- Johnny Rico from Starship Troopers uses various Morita rifles.
- In her first game, Bayonetta's set of four guns is named Scarborough Fair.
- Kivas Fajo (of that one Star Trek: The Next Generation episode) owned four Varon-T disruptors.
All these gun names can be found in the grid, but they're all bent into an L shape—like a crude drawing of a gun. When you cross them out, twelve letters are left over. And now you get to see the hideous state this puzzle was in while I was building it:
The leftover letters spell "AGENT J'S NOISY," and in Men in Black, Agent J wields the Noisy CRICKET.
