I hope the clues were kind of fun at least:
Bob Cratchit's second daughter (7) = BELINDA
wingless adolescent locust (5) = NYMPH
stun, as with a scandal, or with electricity (5) = SHOCK
crayfish, crickets, minnows, nightcrawlers (4) = BAIT
funny-sounding organ supposed to produce black bile (6) = SPLEEN
letter that Alan Moore was able to milk for about three hundred pages (1) = V
Convert each answer into a number in the manner of "phonespell," like you do for phone passwords, then plug those into the equation:
2354632 + 69674 + (74625 mod 2248) + (775336 * 8) = 8627435
Technically, we should only need that number to unlock my phone, but it does leave something to be desired as an answer. We should find out what word it stands for. Phonespell.org is no help here, but we knew that from the flavor text. If you try nutrimatic, the string you should type in to match the relevant phonespelling-letters is [tuv][mno][abc][pqrs][ghi][def][jkl]. The only one-word result is UMBRIEL, the name of a spirit you will remember from Alexander Pope's The Rape of the Lock (which is also where we got the name BELINDA, that of a beautiful NYMPH, her little dog SHOCK, and the imposing Cave of SPLEEN).
