NOTE: Shark Week 2014 is over; long live Shark Week. See you next year!
For Shark Week 2014, I want to paint sharks to benefit Nothing But Nets. I’ve got a fundraising page here.

I painted this young lady for Mr. Derek Sotak of nachonomics.com and the Kickstarter for his Field Guide to Nachos. That Kickstarter is over. I know, right? I should have said something about it earlier. But pretty soon, I’m sure, you’ll be able to buy that book at that website, and read all about why nachos exist—and which nachos pose the greatest threats to your health and sanity.
Instead of adding it to the increasingly difficult to navigate Plush Toys page, I’ll just let you know right here about this felt cockatrice I made. It’s built on the same “skeleton” as that California Condor, but it’s quite a bit smaller, and it has a pointed tail. Hopefully I’ll get some better photos together in the near future.
Yeah these pictures are not doing it justice at all.
I finished a new doll! It is a California Condor, Gymnogyps californianus. There are more pictures at the bottom of the good old plush toys page.
A titanic brawl in the depths of the sea! This installation of mine will be on display at the Plaid Peacock in Waterloo, IA throughout the month of June. The photo above appears courtesy of my dad, and there are numerous additional images on Facebook. Continue reading
A new project has been added to the Felt Dolls page or whatever it’s called. “Plush Toys”. Whatever.
I added pictures of three more Lizardbro dolls to the Plush Toys page. They are way at the bottom.
I got a new page up in the menu bar there, displaying a selection of plush toys that I have made with felt and stuffing. Do not feel embarrassed if you find any of them to be adorable; that is the intended effect.
Plaid Peacock is this place here in Waterloo that sells neat arts and gifts, including my goofy book of scary stories, and this Saturday they’re hosting a reading/signing event for the aforementioned book. It’s gonna be spookdacious.
We decided to have prizes for people who come in costume as characters from the book, and it fell to me to figure out what those prizes should be. Luckily my friend Heidi came up with a great idea.
